The APCC hosts regular events throughout the year. We welcome all members, non-members and citizens to attend our events. We are always looking for event volunteers, committee members and ideas to add to the community calendar. Below is more information on each event.
Our Main Events
Our monthly luncheon is held from August through May each year*. Location and cost will be listed on the calendar of events, along with the luncheon sponsor. Each luncheon is sponsored by a Friend of the Chamber or one of our Chamber Partners. We have 2 dedicated luncheons a year at the Historic Hotel Jacaranda, Season kick-off and our annual Tallahassee Wrap-Up, where we are joined by our Senator and Representative for a recap of each year’s legislative session. We are currently seeking businesses to sponsor lunches, at your location or a location of your choice. This allows you to spot light your business! These monthly networking luncheons will be free of cost to guests. Businesses hosting the networking luncheon will provide light food and beverage options to guests.
You will have the opportunity to present your business, talk about upcoming events and specials, and of course, NETWORK! Your logo and business name will be on all advertising of the lunch for that month. For more information, or to reserve a month to sponsor a luncheon, contact the APCC office today!
The Chamber of Commerce is currently working on structuring a fall themed event. More information to come!

Spectators are asked to sit either on the sidewalks or the inside Mall areas facing the eastbound lanes to view the parade.

The APCC Christmas in the Park (Donaldson Park) is always the first Monday past, the Avon Park Christmas Parade which puts it on Monday, December 9, 2019. This event spotlights our local choir talents from the Avon Elementary, Park Elementary, Avon Park Middle, and Avon Park High Schools. This event allows the community to share in the beautiful holiday music that these choirs and their instructors have worked so hard on preparing. We also invite any other local choirs that wish to participate in this evening to contact the APCC office.
Flywheeler Park opens their season in November of every year. They have scheduled events from November to February each season. The APCC has been a long time partner of the Florida Flywheeler events by coordinating and providing volunteer tractor tram drivers for the park during the November, January & February event dates. We are always looking to expand our contact list for these drivers. Please contact the office today if you are interested in being a tractor tram driver.
This 30-year event is a spot light of our local youth. Pageant winners and their courts are advocates for the Chamber of Commerce, supporting our efforts with community involvement. Miss & Jr. Miss APCC are active in the community and assist the Chamber with fundraising, event support, and they learn the value of our local businesses and how our commerce structure supports our community.
