THE AVON PARK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE POSTPONES ANNUAL PAGEANT EVENT

APCC ‘s Miss Avon Park Chamber of Commerce Pageant Cancelled Until Further Notice

AVON PARK, FL –(Tuesday, March 17, 2020)Until further notice, the Avon Park Chamber of Commerce is indefinitely postponing the 2020 Miss Avon Park Chamber of Commerce Pageant scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at Union Church.  

Regrettably, our decision was made in response to recommendations presented by Union Church and the latest guidelines announced by Federal and the State of Florida health agencies concerning social distancing and avoiding group gatherings related to the coronavirus outbreak - an ongoing global outbreak of coronavirus disease caused by the SARS coronavirus 2.   

The Avon Park Chamber of Commerce will continue to monitor State of Florida, local, and Federal health agencies statements to determine if our communities are at risk.  The APCC and Miss Avon Park Pageant Team are saddened we must suspend the event until a time after we are cleared of all public health concerns.  We are prepared to follow both State of Florida and Federal health agencies promptings and guidelines in order to appropriately move forward with discussing any possible rescheduling of the event with Union Church.  *As scheduled: APCC Pageant Raffle items will be selected per usual and winners contacted by APCC Pageant Team.
