In these challenging yet essential times where community help and assistance is vital to dealing with the global outbreak of coronavirus disease (caused by the SARS coronavirus 2), the Florida Chamber of Commerce reminds us all:
“Florida is open for business and travel. We are in 24/7 contact with Governor Ron DeSantis’ office, state public health agencies, VISIT FLORIDA, the CDC and other important partners.”
The webpage Follow Facts; Not Fear - The Florida Chamber of Commerce contains vital links “…from Governor DeSantis’ office, the Emergency Operations Center, Centers for Disease Control, Florida Department of Health and our partners at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and it will be updated regularly.”
As the Avon Park Chamber of Commerce continues to also monitor state, local, and Federal health agencies statements to determine if our local communities are in a “cluster” spreading of the virus (which Highlands County, Florida, is not), we have not been identified as being an area of alarm.
If notified by the governmental and health agencies mentioned above, the Avon Park Chamber of Commerce is prepared to follow any mandated guidelines and applicably convey them to you.
